Colorado debates stricter rules for homeschooling programs
State authorities in Colorado are reviewing new rules for enrichment programs targeted at home education. The discussion follows a period of lax oversight that allowed the use of public funds for activities such as ski lessons, martial arts, and skydiving experiences.
As a result of this scenario, the state has already rejected 38 home school enrichment programs. Now, the responsible officials must decide how stringent the new permanent regulations for the sector will be.
